What to add to the 'Braai" (South African for a barbeque)?

Just before you put all the meat on, what about a starter? Something to nibble on whilst having a drink?What about an "Oepsie", pronounced "oopsee"? It means excuse me or pardon me. Normally uttered after an accident, a mishap or a calamity.

It is rind less bacon strips wrapped around a kebab ("Sosatie") stick after it has been marinated in a sweet barbecue marinate. It is a huge hit amongst the children and the ladies.

Place it on a mild heat turning every minute or so until cooked.

It is very simple to make and also not very expensive.
